Easter Weekend! Loch Etive and Oban

Due to a few issues with the boat we had to do without it on the Easter Weekend.  We instead opted for a few days away on Loch Etive.  With the aim to hopefully snag a few Spurries and Thornies to add to the species list for 2013.

Conditions were perfect and the weather was great.  The fishing itself was immensely disappointing.  Almost 24hrs fishing without a single bite.  Other friends on the Loch also fished over 3 days at the Priory and Bonawe Quarry without catching anything.  Very strange not to see any fish anywhere.  A very long trip to end up leaving for home early.

On the plus side.  From a photographic point of view the place is awesome!

Loch Sunart October 2011

In 2011 I spent a few days with my parents at Laga Lodge on Loch Sunart in NW Scotland.  With boat hire included in the cost of the lodge it was the perfect trip for some fishing.  We had some good fish ith Conger to around 25lb and a 14lb Spurdog.  I took a boat load of photos but here are a few highlights.
