Family Day out to Druiridge Bay (22nd May 2016)

Getting the time to get out fishing has been very difficult this year so far.  I have only been out a handful of times since Christmas which is highly unusual for me.
I have decided to start and take every opportunity to take the rod out for the rest of this year.

The weather this May has been very strange with snow, rain and sun at some time or another.  Today turned out to be a lovely warm day and rather than waste it I headed up the coast with the family to Druiridge Bay.  The chance of fish was small I reckoned but I figured I could fish while the kids and my wife played.
As it happens only a small flounder later on in the day saved my blank.  As always I managed to take some great shots on my Galaxy S6.

Druiridge 7th July 2013

The past few days have been scorching hot up in the NE.  After a family trip to the beach yesterday I fancied a few hours on the beach with the fishing rods today.
Druiridge was the chosen place once again.  We were hoping for a few good fish on the light gear but were disappointed.

While the fish weren't biting I was taking photos. We ended up experimenting with the burst features on the phones (Galaxy S2 and S4) and the camera (Fujifilm Finepix F660EXR) that we had in our bags with some great results I may add.

Druiridge Bay 27th May 2013

Big tides and half-decent weather drove us to Druiridge today in search of Turbot or Bass.  As it turned out what we ended up with was Flounder and Plaice but nobody blanked which of course is the most important thing!
